For tough jobs like lifting linoleum, carpet, adhesive residue, scale, paint, and tape, choose the Fein 63903178017 Rigid Scraper Blade, which can be re-sharpened for longer blade life. This system also includes the efficient Fein 63502106015 HSS Segmented Blade for fiberglass, carbon fiber, 20 gauge sheet metal, and harder woods. Segmented to cut right angles without over cutting, this flat, high-speed steel blade performs straight cutting in harder material, and can cut into corners with right angles.
The system also includes one Fein 63502118016 Carbide-Tip Blade for cutting out damaged tile joints and for carving out grooves in plaster, porous concrete and similar construction materials. A Fein 63731001014 Carbide Rasp allows for rough grinding of filler, tile adhesives, concrete, stone, and wood, and may be used with or without the included Fein 92602081010 Dust Extraction Kit.
Finally, to make sure final results are smooth, the FMM 250Q Top includes several sheets of sandpaper in different grains, as well as a Fein 63806183029 Profile Sanding Pad.

Great Tool...EXPENSIVE blades!
I am a DIY'er recently retired from my 7-5 job with a l o n g honey-do list. Purchased this several months ago. The tool is awesome. Plunge cuts, flush cuts, scrapes, dices and slices. Handier than a third thumb.
The blades are another story. Fein needs to market a general utility blade that is the equivalent of a recipro saw's demolition blade (wood, nails, flashing, etc...maybe carbide toothed?). The closest they come is the Universal blade - roughly apiece (in 3-packs) and they can dull in just a minute or two of cutting plain old wood (not even metal). I expect a bit more longevity in a blade. I have not tried the third-party blades (I will on my next blade purchase).
Expensive initial tool purchase...WAY expensive to keep in blades.
5 Stars for the tool - 2 Stars for blade prices/durability.
The blades don't last long at all
The tool would be a great tool one of the best I own it has many applications, but the blades don't last but maybe 3-4 cuts on most things only 1 if you hit a nail and the blades are so expensive it's not worth the money because of the blades.
Fein MultiMaster review
I'm disappointed in the tool. I think it's over priced and the quality of the cutting blade was very poor. I would not recommend it for purchase. The replacement blades are very expensive and if their the same quality of the blade that came with the tool you'll go broke buying blades.

Fein Multitool
This is a very nice tool. I needed to cut the bottoms off 7 door jambs to accommodate wood flooring. It is the perfect tool for that part of a project. It came highly reccommended by a friend who had tried the Dremmel & Pockwell versions, and it didn't disappoint.
